They seemed overwhelmed trying to catch it all with nothing but their open hands. The power of the water was too much for them and they were left with less than what they came with. Trying too hard to make sense of it all. So close to believing. As the blood that runs through them gives them life the thoughts and ideas give sense to that life. A purpose to their consciousness. Maybe they can merge with the wind and the rain. Maybe proximity to the natural world will bring out an inherent truth.
